Description
The water meter is designed to measure the flow of cold drinking water flowing through pipelines at a pressure of up to 16 bar and a temperature range from +0.1˚C to +50˚C. This water meter belongs to the Voltmann type meters. The principle of operation is based on measuring the number of revolutions of the turbine rotating under the pressure of the flow of flowing water. Water is fed into the inlet of the flowing part of the meter through a strainer, passes through the turbine and exits through the outlet. The rotation of the turbine is transmitted to the driven part of the magnetic coupling installed in the counting mechanism. The magnetic coupling is protected against possible external magnetic fields by an anti-magnetic shield. Turbine revolutions are converted by means of the counting mechanism gearbox into values on the indicator device. The number of turbine revolutions is proportional to the amount of flowing water.
