The Elephant PRA1030E-F-DA direct acting pressure regulators are designed for automatic regulation of the set characteristic in a pipeline. Elephant PRA1030E-F-DA direct acting downstream pressure regulators are designed to automatically maintain the set pressure of the working medium upstream (downstream) by changing the flow rate. They are used in heat supply systems with working medium temperature not more than 150°C and nominal pressure not more than 1.6 MPa (16 bar). Maximum permissible pressure ratio P2/P1≥0.54.
Direct-acting pressure regulators are regulating devices that use the energy of the flowing medium to move the regulating body. Direct-acting regulators are not shut-off valves and operate only at a constant flow rate of the medium through the regulator.
Downstream pressure regulators Elephant PRA1030E-F-DA maintain the pressure at the valve outlet. Exceeding the set value causes the valve to close. If there is no pressure, the regulator will fully open, which is why it is also called “normally open”.
